Meet Our Staff

Rebecca St. Jean, O.D.

Dr. St. Jean is a graduate of George Washington University and Southern College of Optometry. Upon graduation, Dr. St. Jean elected to complete a residency in ocular disease and primary care optometry at the Salisbury VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. She is a member of the West VIrginia Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She holds advanced certification in management and treatment of ocular disease and also has advanced training in co-management of refractive surgery. She enjoys outdoor sports in her spare time and she and her husband Rob compete on the national level in Masters swimming.

Elicia Miller, O.D.

Dr. Miller joined our practice in the summer of 2007. She is no stranger to our patients as well. While Dr. Miller attended Poca High School and Concord University, she also worked summers at Advanced EyeCare Center. She is a 2007 graduate of Southern College of Optometry, 2004 graduate of Concord University and a 1999 graduate of Poca High School. In her spare time she enjoys music, traveling and volunteering with her church.

Sharon Stewart, Office Manager

Sharon is a certified paraoptometric (CPO) with 18 years of experience in the eyecare industry. Her duties in the office include pretesting, optical technician, and refractive surgery coordinator. She enjoys spending time with her family and watching her daughter Brittany play basketball.

Maelene Lewis, Contact Lens Technician

Maelene is a certified paraoptometric (CPO) and does contact lens evaluations and patient pretesting. She has 11 years experience in providing patient care and education to each of our patients. She enjoys spending her free time with her 2 children.

Kelly Chandler, Front Desk Team Leader, Insurance Coordinator

Kelly had been a member of the Advanced EyeCare team for 5 years. She is the friendly voice you hear when you call to make an appointment. She also greets you when arriving at our office and takes care of patient insurance and paperwork. She believes a big smile can make any patient's day. She enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and attending their sports events.

Sharon K. Hill, Optical Technician

Sharon has over 10 years experience in the eyecare field with skills ranging from patient work-up to front desk and optical. She takes pride in assisting the patient with finding that perfect frame. Sharon enjoys spending time with her husband, David and her 2 sons.

Robin Nelson, Certified Optician

Robin is a certified optician with 15 years of experience. She selects and manages our from inventory and also is responsible for edging and making glasses. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter Brooke.

Sarah Fiedler, Optometric Assistant

Sarah has been with our practice for 2 years. Sarah is the 3rd generation of her family that has worked for Advanced EyeCare. Her mother Gail and her grandmother Ruth have also had the privilege of caring for our wonderful patients. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys playing with her nephew Aaden.

Brookie Freeman

Brookie is the newest member of the Advanced EyeCare team. She has over 10 years experience in the eyecare field.
